To my recollection, I was the only highschooler to work at BCN. I BEGGED and harassed Laura Grover to let me come in and answer Tony and Oedi’s phone after school and she gave me a break even though I was in high school. I remember the terror of accidentally hanging up on Jerry Brenner (?) or Don Law three or four times in rapid succession, and thought that might be the end of my short-lived career, but somehow luckily, Tony yelled at Laura instead of me! I also remember my many trips to White Hen pantry to pick up a variety of cigarettes, candy and coffee. One time, Matt Schaffer called me into his office as I walked by and asked why I was going to White Hen again when I had just returned less that 30 seconds before, and I told them Oedi made me go back to White Hen because there was a slight crack in his Almond Joy, he was in disbelief, and brought me into Louise Sullivan’s office and made me repeat the story. They laughed hysterically, and then bought me lunch! I remember endless discussions on who I should take to the prom, I of course wanted to take a rock star, my dream was Joe Perry, but Tony and Oedi tried to convince me that it would be much more exciting to take Billy West, and offered to pay for prom Limo etc. if I did. I did not take any of the aforementioned, but did come into BCN at 5:30 on the day of the prom so that Tony,Oeid,Louise, Chachi, Rob, Adam etc.. and others could see me in my prom dress. As you can tell I have the sweetest memories of BCN, I really grew up there, and learned so much about the world and what was possible. I was a sheltered Catholic school girl from Lexington, and my parents were horrified when I first told them about the internship at BCN (I did not tell them until the second or third week – when they were wondering why I was arriving home at 6:30 at night from school). They soon realized as did I, that under the crazy Rock and Roll exterior, were pretty good people.
