Susan Byers Paxson:

My funniest memory was Hallowe'en, when Michael Fremer (or was it someone else?) not really in costume, but all in black with very pale skin, came out when I was working the souvenir stand, made some kind of lame conversation, then held his hand out for me to shake. He then wandered off, leaving his "hand" in my hand -- it was a mannequin's hand! I was still reacting to why the hand felt so wrong in the first place; leaving it behind was too much for my little 19-year-old brain! Saddest memory was the night of the Chelsea fire, how the sky was lit up far into the night with that dreadful orange glow.
