My anecdote file is huge, and the one which stands out: spending the overnight at BCN the night John Lennon was murdered was a sad and gorgeous privilege - a spontaneous wake, and some of the finest radio I've ever been involved with. We stayed well into the morning, as Charles took over the controls and we marveled at how the sun had the nerve to rise on such a day.
