I remember Charles would sometimes "bike" to the Pru when the Mattress moved from BCN to ZLX and so would Bob Malatesta. I traveled the same route as they did by car. The first time I saw this I said to Bob, "Hey, did you know that someone else is crazy enough to bike to work on the Jamaica Way at 4 in the morning??" His response was "Yeah, it's Charles." Later that day as we were getting ready to leave Charles asked if anyone would give him a ride home. I said, "I thought you pedaled in today." He said, "I did." "Why don't you pedal back???", I asked. His response..."I'm tired, so are you gonna give me a ride or what???" We put his bike with the motor on it, some would call it a moped but not Chuuuckkk, in the trunk of my crappy Corolla and I drove him home to Dover. As I was leaving he said, "If it's not raining we can do this again tomorrow."
